About this service
Edinburgh Bed Bug Treatment does not carry out treatments. It is an introduction service for the City of Edinburgh Council area: we take a request, find a bed bug specialist who works locally and suits the building, and introduce you, with your agreement.
What happens to a request
You send the request
A postcode, details of the building and what has been found, and how to contact you. Only we hold this.
We choose a specialist
One firm that already works in your part of the city and handles your type of property, whether a tenement flat in Leith or a guest house in Newington.
We tell you who it is
By phone or email, with the firm's name. Say yes and we pass your request on; say no and it ends there.
They inspect and price the job
The arrangement, the price and the payment are between you and the firm.
How we are paid
The firm pays us a fee for the introduction. Using the service costs you nothing, and nothing changes if you decide not to book. We are independent and not connected to any pest control company with a similar name.
Where our figures come from
Prices are typical UK ranges from published price lists, dated where they are used. We show no council price because we could not confirm the City of Edinburgh Council's current bed bug fee. Temperatures and visit timings follow British Pest Control Association guidance; advice on bites follows the NHS; landlord and tenant points follow Scottish Government and mygov.scot guidance. We will look for a bed bug specialist covering your postcode and contact you with their name. If you are happy with them, we pass the request on and they arrange the visit. If not, it stops there.
